Jako jediné odborné periodikum NG v Praze a jeden z nástrojů poznání a zveřejňování umění ze sbírek NG v Praze se zaměřuje v plném českém znění i ve světových jazycích (většinou anglicky) na prezentaci nových poznatků o známějších i opomenutých sbírkových předmětech a souborech ze sbírek NG v Praze i dílčích výsledků badatelské práce galerijních odborníků a jejich domácích kolegů formou studií a zpráv.

As the only professional journal published by the National Gallery Prague and one of the sources of knowledge and publication of the art in the National Gallery Prague’s collections, this publication in Czech and in other world languages (chiefly English) focuses on presenting new findings about both well-known and overlooked collection items and sets of items in the National Gallery Prague’s collections, as well as on the individual results of the research carried out by the gallery’s experts and their Czech colleagues published in the form of studies and reports.
